Greetings ladies!

Time definitely moves quickly (at times). It is hard to believe it is almost 3 years since I became N.B.W.I Provincial President.

I want to sincerely thank each and every member for your confidence, trust, encouragement and help during this term.

I specifically want to say a big “Thank You” to my Advisory Board, Rose and Holly for all your support.

I have visited mostly every District’s Convention – travelling with my side-kicks, Sharron Adams and Holly Hersey. Extremely informative, educational and enjoyable programs were planned at each. OH!! Let’s not forget the delicious food!!

I visited many parts of the Province I had not travelled before – we have a very diverse, beautiful Province.

The 2019 fundraiser proved to be extremely successful – $5,039.25 was raised. Thanks to every Member, Branch, District who provided the gift cards and those persons who sold and purchased tickets.

Our winner was Charlene Smith from the Moncton Area – Congratulations!!

Our “Fidget Quilt” project, funded by a grant from the “New Horizon for Seniors Program” is drawing to a close. We have held four very successful workshops – great turnouts of members and friends. My aid was to have days of fun, friendship and productivity. I think from all reports and comments this goal was certainly achieved. Details will be provided following our wrap-up finale. Thanks to Rose for all her work in applying for this grant and help she has provided to me during this process.

Plans are well underway for the 2020 Convention – May 30th at the Ramada, Fredericton. Friday evening – May 29th – will again be a “meet and greet”, fun time, hands-on type of event – if you have any activity you would like to contribute – feel free to bring it with you. Remember this is “Election Year” – Please step forward, contact Angela Scott with (names) nominations of Members willing to lead us into 2021 and beyond!

NOTE: the 2020 Provincial Convention has been postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

For Home & Country,
Sandra Day, President
