These cinnamon rolls are easy like Sunday morning but come together quick enough for an afternoon snack!

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2Tbsp white sugar
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • Butter or margarine, cinnamon and brown sugar to taste.

Stir baking powder, salt, and sugar into flour. Cut in shortening.

Beat the egg with milk.

Mix the wet mixture into the dough. Then, roll dough out on a board.

Spread with butter or margarine, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll the doll up. Cut into rolls of your desired thickness. Bake in a well-oiled pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, until light brown.
